These images address my conflicts with the medium of photography, the inherent mechanical'ness, lack of human presence and reliance upon reality for creation. With this piece I attempted to rid myself of all mechanical means yet create a photograph in its truest form: light drawing. By only using a match and photo paper I pursued some sort of purity, both with the flame and minimal use of materials. This somewhat direct transmission of emotion and form onto the paper is, I hope, communicated through this piece in the form of a triptych. The images viewed on the computer screen is quite paradoxical as they are defeating the purpose of the intentional image, however I felt they should be apart of my internet presence so there you have it.
